Thanks to the appropriation of funds of the Ministry for Cultural Activities, Rome is asserting since some years as one of the most designative and interesting European cities for culture proposals.

Of course, if compared to other European capital cities such as London, Berlin or Amsterdam, Rome is still a very conservative and less liberal city, bounded to millenary traditions and a catholic culture.
Generally the roman nights start with aperitif time in one of the various trendy clubs of the city centre. Anyway, nightlife gets to the heart of the matter quite late during the week as well as at weekends. Parties and shows in the clubs and bars do not ever start before 22.30 and finish at sunrise at about 4 or 5 in the morning.
