On the sidelines of the match organized by Operation Nostalgia, the former Roma legend also expressed his thoughts about the current situation of Roma.
The Captain spoke again about his former team and specifically about the arrival of Gian Piero Gasperini as Roma’s manager. He did so just before the start of the match that took place this afternoon at Parma’s Tardini Stadium for Operation Nostalgia. Here’s what he told Sportitalia:
As for Roma, first the work done by Claudio Ranieri and now the change with Gian Piero Gasperini.
“An incredible job, a job that no one would’ve expected. So a big thank you to Mister Ranieri for bringing Roma back to Europe. Gasperini? We’ll wait.”
Are you hopeful?
I’m not sure. “He must be truly skilled to assert himself. In Rome, a great deal of personality is required.”
